Misophone consists of M. A. Welsh and S. who have been recording for five years. They are currently working on their 13th album, and have hundreds of songs. S. is a classically trained composer who can play upwards of 20 instruments (a number which seems to increase on a weekly basis), M. A. Welsh is an artist and writer, and provides singing and lyrics , as well as banjo, found sounds and animal noises. All material is home recorded and self produced.

Niccokick was formed by Andreas in late fall of 2001. During a session with only him and the guitar, Andreas came up with the idea of starting a project playing only instrumental songs. He started adding vocals to some of the songs. This turned out to sound great. The first set up of the band was formed during Christmas 2001.

The lastest album is "The Good Times We Shared, Were They So Bad?"

The road leading up to the final version of The Good Times We Shared, Were They So Bad? has been filled with tours, death anxiety, breakdowns, therapy and the odd coffee break. Niccokick has been hard, but pleasant, work since day one. Combined with numerous other side projects, continuous touring and record producing, the band got close to a collective suicide in early 2007, due to pure exhaustion.

Mean Magazine has created a new series of online short films called CineMash, which lets celebrity talent mash up their favorite scenes from classic movies. The first is a recreation of a scene from Sid and Nancy starring Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt and directed by Marc Webb (the director of 500 Days of Summer). Did I mention that Joe plays Nancy and Zooey plays Sid? Watch the clip after the jump, followed by a listing of future Cinemash episodes.
